We would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a very Happy and Healthly New Year.  I am sitting in the office finishing some projects before the holidays.  The Church is decorated.  Tomorrow we receive our Poinsettias for the altar.  The Infant Jesus has been changed into his Christmas gold vestment, and he looks beautiful.  Cecilia and I are working on the Christmas Bell tree.  Each bell on the tree represents names that have been submitted by Shrine members and our Parishioners for prayers.  We all here in the office and gift store are excited for a few days off for Christmas.  We

We are coming to the end of the week.  This Sunday is our annual Czech Heritage Dinner on April 30, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.  I am looking forward to attending and sampling the Czech food to see if it is anything like German food.

Also remember that on May 6 the town of Prague will be celebrating the Kolache Festival.  Come by our booth to buy Kolaches.

Today, we changed the Infant Jesus into his Czech outfit for the upcoming festivities.  He is looking so beautiful.

We have been busy these days preparing the Church and the Shrine for Easter. We are also in the process of having the bricks repaired on the Church.  Hopefully, that will be done by the end of April.  Our spring weather has been windy, but warm, and our roses and flowers are blooming now.

Two weeks after Easter, we will be heading into the Kolache Festival with Czech dinner kicking it off on Sunday, April 30, here at our hall, and the Festival the following weekend of May 6 and 7.  Don't forget to come to buy your Kolaches.

February Pilgramage

The Shrine staff have been busy preparing to host this Sunday's Pilgramage, February 26, and our guest Archbishop Eusebius J. Beltran and his Secretary, Carol DeVito.   It should be an enjoyable day.  We look forward to seeing you this Sunday.

Beginning February 27, 2017, Monday through Friday, the office will close during mass from 12:00 to 12:30.

February 1, 2017

It is hard to believe that we are already in February.  We have had beautful days with temperatures in the 70s.  Today the temperature is 59 degrees with tomorrow's temperature only getting up to 39.  We have had a wide range of weather this winter.

The picture in this blog posting is of old Infant statue that was in our hall that has been placed  in a west second floor window for viewing from the highway.
