The purpose of the association is to promote devotion to the Infant Jesus of Prague; to present for the pious meditation of the faithful and members of the Confraternity the example of the hidden life of Jesus and His wonderful virtues, so that their hearts may be more greatly inflamed with love of Jesus. The association places all members under the special protection of The Infant Jesus of Prague; to protect their innocence by His abundant blessings and guard them from the pitfalls and corruption of the world.
Conditions of Membership
A Blessed Medal of the Infant Jesus of Prague is to be worn about the neck or some other place on one’s person.
The member is to recite three times daily: “Glory be to the Father, etc.” together with the ejaculatory prayer: “Divine Infant Jesus, bless me.”
The member is to make an offering to promote devotion to the Infant Jesus of Prague.
Benefits of Membership
1. Members are remembered in all Masses and devotions offered at the National Shrine of the Infant Jesus of Prague, Prague, Oklahoma.
2. Under the usual conditions, members may gain a plenary indulgence:
- On the day of reception.
- At the hour of death.
- Members who visit the National Shrine, or, if they cannot do this, any other Church or Public Chapel, and there pray for the harmony of the Christian leaders, the harmony of the Christian leaders, the rooting out of heresy, the conversion of sinners and the exaltation of the Holy Mother Church, on these feast days:
- Mary, the Mother of God (Jan. 1), Epiphany, Presentation of the Lord (Feb. 2), St. Joseph (Mar. 19), Annunciation of the Lord (Mar. 25), Easter, Ascension, The Body & Blood of Christ, Visitation (May 31), Birth of John the Baptist (Jun. 24), Sacred Heart, Our Lady of Mount Carmel (Jul. 16), Sts. Joachim & Ann (Jul 26) Assumption (Aug 15), Gabriel, the Archangel (Sept. 29), St. Theresa of the Child Angel (Sept. 29), St. Theresa of the Child Jesus (Oct. 1), St. John of the Cross (Dec. 14), Christmas (Dec. 25), Holy Family, Holy Innocents (Dec. 28).
- On the day of the month on which is held the religious exercises of the Association (the Sunday falling between the 17th and the 25th of the month).
3. Members may gain a partial indulgence:
- On a visit to the Blessed Sacrament with at least a contrite heart.
- When devoutly present at some religious exercise in honor of the Divine Infant.
- When helping to prepare children for the reception of the Sacraments of Penance and Holy Eucharist.
